Cate is more than a team member at Auntie’s Artwork—she was the one who first saw its potential to become something bigger. What started as Ashley painting to brighten up her clinic turned into a heartfelt business thanks in large part to Cate’s encouragement. She believed the art deserved to be shared, that it could reach others, and that it could make a difference. And so, Auntie’s Artwork was born—not just from brushstrokes, but from sisterhood, strength, and vision.

At the time, Cate was facing enormous challenges. She was unable to work due to kidney failure and spent much of her time undergoing dialysis. On top of that, she was also battling cancer and recovering from surgery. Despite everything, she still found a way to support her sister and become deeply involved in something beautiful.

She began by lending her naturally gorgeous handwriting to the canvas, writing affirmations and messages of hope that brought each piece to life. Over time, she also took over shipping responsibilities, carefully packing and mailing out every order. Her steady presence, attention to detail, and emotional support are all core to how Auntie’s Artwork runs.

Being part of the business gave Cate something more than a task—it gave her connection, purpose, and a creative outlet during a time when she needed it most. And for Ashley, it meant building something not only with love but because of love.

Cate continues to bring her spark to everything she touches—from uplifting phrases written by hand to the care she puts into every package. Her resilience, creativity, and heart are at the foundation of Auntie’s Artwork.
